Chairman's Message

"I believe peace has always been among humanity's highest values. In my country, a decisive step towards peace will be reached when the government, the private sector, the civil society, and the citizens work hand in hand to reduce poverty and achieve equal human rights and advocate for conflict prevention. The lack of rule of law, a fragile justice system with high levels of corruption, and an insecure future in terms of professional development and life expectations are serious threats to peace in the country. Indian independence icon Mahatma Gandhi once said, 'There is no path to peace, peace is the path.' Hence, a culturally diverse country like India aspires to achieve peace through reconciliation and respect for all faiths and ethnic groups. Therefore, throughout my work and activism, peace has been at the epicenter of all that I have done, am doing, and will do. I believe that a nonviolent approach to issues is the best approach to end violence. Violence cannot resolve violence, but also those who are perpetrators of violence, abuse, and crimes against the poor, powerless, and voiceless face justice. It is important for all people to be equal because only then our society would develop in the true sense of the term. It is our right to be treated equally. It is our right to be given due respect. It is our right to be given equal opportunities."

The journey toward a just world order is fraught with challenges, but with visionaries like Dr. Ahmed Haque at the helm, the dream of a peaceful, equitable society is not just a possibility but an inevitability. It is up to us to join this movement, to contribute in our own ways, and to ensure that the future we build is one where justice and peace are not just ideals but realities for all.
